Preferred Choice Restoration provides 24/7 water damage restoration for homes and businesses across the Phoenix metro area. Our IICRC-certified technicians extract the water, dry the structure, and rebuild the drywall, flooring, and cabinets that can’t be saved after burst pipes, slab leaks, failed water heaters, and monsoon flooding.
Our water damage restoration is built around getting your home back to normal with as little damage and disruption as possible.

From Water Extraction to Restoration
01
We answer 24/7, ask where the water is coming from, and send a crew with extraction and drying equipment.
02
Using moisture meters, we map how far the water spread behind walls and under floors, and we photograph every affected room.
03
We remove standing water, take out materials that can’t be saved, and apply an antimicrobial. Then we set up air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the structure.
04
Our construction team replaces the drywall, flooring, baseboards, and cabinets that came out, then repaints, so every room is ready to use again. Your adjuster gets our repair estimate along the way.
Why Preferred Choice Restoration
Water keeps spreading after the leak starts, so we answer around the clock and send a crew with extraction equipment right away, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Our technicians are trained to the IICRC S500 standard for water damage, so your home is dried using the industry’s proven methods and documented the way adjusters expect.
Every item we move is inventoried, so you know where your things are while your home is repaired and nothing gets lost along the way.
Our technicians know how water travels through slab floors, wall cavities, and cabinet bases, so they find the wet areas a quick look would miss.

Related Restoration Services
Many water damage jobs need more than drying, like packing out belongings, rebuilding rooms, or removing mold, and our own teams handle that work too.
We extract the water, dry the structure, and monitor moisture after leaks, burst pipes, slab leaks, and floods.
To protect your belongings from further damage, we inventory, clean, and pack each item, store everything while we work, and return it all to its place when the job is done.

Questions
Drying usually takes 3 to 5 days. Larger jobs, or water that soaked into the subfloor and wall cavities, can take longer, and repairs start once everything is dry.
Often, yes. If clean water soaked it and it isn’t swollen and the seams are intact, drywall can be dried in place. If it’s swollen or crumbling, we cut out the damaged section and replace it.
Often, yes, if the water was clean and we can extract it and start drying right away. If the carpet or padding stayed wet longer than 48 hours, or can’t be fully cleaned and dried, we replace it.
Yes. The type of water decides how much of your home can be saved. Clean water from a broken supply line can usually be dried in place. Gray water, like washing machine discharge, needs disinfecting, and some porous materials may have to go. Sewage and floodwater mean carpet, drywall, and insulation it soaked have to be removed. Clean water also becomes more contaminated the longer it sits, so call right away.
Turn off every faucet and water-using appliance, then look at your water meter. If the leak indicator still moves, water is escaping somewhere. Next, shut the main valve at the house: if the meter stops, the leak is inside the home, and if it keeps moving, the leak is in the service line.
You can start mopping up clean water from a source like a leaking water heater or refrigerator line, as long as it hasn’t reached outlets or cords. Mopping only gets the water you can see, though. Water that soaked into drywall, insulation, and subfloor has to be found with moisture meters and dried with air movers and dehumidifiers, and water from a toilet, drain, or flood should be left to our crew entirely.
